How I feel when I look at other artists work
I spend a lot of time looking at the work of some really amazing artists online. One of the great things about Facebook and artist's blogs is that I can actually connect with these artists, and follow them - and learn from them. These are some of the most amazing and talented artists in the world and we have the ability to see what they do and how they work on almost a day-to-day basis.
David Kassan is very active on the web - and he is one busy guy. His work is just so astonishing.. I am both inspired to learn more and try harder, but also a bit overwhelmed. I love his openness and willingness to share. He's one of my definite favorites.
This morning I discovered Jeff Hein, an LDS artist who runs an art academy in SLC. How did I not run into him before? Looking over his blog and learning more about his process was both educational and intimidating. His recent works are astonishing. This one in particular is as close as I've seen anyone come to the level of Carl Bloch.. kinda scary, but wonderful!
